DANIEL HOWELL

Daniel James Howell, born on June 11, 1991, in Wokingham, Berkshire, England, is a British YouTuber, author, and presenter. He gained prominence through his YouTube channel, Daniel Howell (formerly known as danisnotonfire), which has amassed over 6 million subscribers. Howell is also known for his collaborations with Phil Lester, with whom he co-hosted BBC Radio 1 shows and co-authored bestselling books.

Raised in Winnersh, Berkshire, Howell has a younger brother named Adrian. He attended The Forest School and later enrolled at the University of Manchester to study law but left after a year to pursue a career in media. Before his YouTube fame, Howell worked at retail chains Focus DIY and Asda.

Howell launched his YouTube channel on October 16, 2009, with the video "HELLO INTERNET." Encouraged by friends, including Phil Lester, he began creating content that resonated with a wide audience.

Together with Phil Lester, Howell created the gaming channel DanAndPhilGAMES in 2014, which quickly became one of the fastest-growing channels on YouTube. They also co-hosted the Sunday night entertainment show "Dan and Phil" on BBC Radio 1 from January 2013 to August 2014 and the station's "Internet Takeover" slot from September 2014 to April 2016.
